What dewline keeps about you, why it keeps it, who helps us run it, and how to make it forget you.

Last updated 13 October 2026Questions: support@get-sidekick.com

The short version

  • We keep what you tell dewline and what you do in it, so it can find the right posts for you and write your first message.
  • dewline never sees your LinkedIn password. It sends only what you approve, one by one or through a rule you set up yourself.
  • We don't sell your data or show you ads, and other readers never see your answers, your leads or your feed.
  • A few companies help us run dewline, including an AI model provider and services that fetch public posts. Section 5 says what each one receives.
  • Ask, and we delete your account and the data in it.

01Who we are

dewline is made by Side Kick ("we", "us"). This notice covers the dewline app and this website. If you have a question about it, or want to use any of the choices in section 11, write to support@get-sidekick.com.

The terms of use are the rest of our agreement with you.

02What we keep

WhatWhyHow long
The founding listIf you join it on this website: your email address, the line you add about what you sell (if you add one), which button you used, and when. To stop the form being abused, the number of tries from each network is counted for one day, with the network address kept only in scrambled form.
To email you when dewline opens to you, in the order people joined, and to have your feed ready for your service on day one. Until you open an account or ask us to take you off the list. The counts clear after a day.
Your accountYour name, your email address, and your password, which is stored only in scrambled form, never as you typed it. Or your Google sign-in, if you use that instead.
To sign you in, and to reach you about your account. While your account is open.
Your answersWho you sell to, your topics, the signals you ticked, your regions, what should stop you and what you never want to see.
They are the bar every post is scored against. You can change them at any time. While your account is open.
Your lead listIf you upload one: the names, titles, companies, profile links and email addresses in it.
To watch those people's public LinkedIn posts and job moves for you, and to know who you already know. While your account is open, or until you remove it.
Connected accountsYour LinkedIn connection, and any app you connect, such as a CRM, a team chat or a payments app: the keys that let dewline reach them, and what it reads there for you, such as new messages or deal updates.
To bring what you asked for into your feed, and to act there when you approve it. Until you disconnect, or close your account.
Your feed and what you do with itThe posts found for you and their scores, your thumbs up and down and your reasons, what you hid, your drafts, the edits you make to them, and what you sent.
To make tomorrow's feed sharper, to learn how you write, and to keep a record of what went out in your name. While your account is open. Some working data clears sooner (section 10).
Your questionsWhat you ask dewline's assistant and research desk, and their answers.
To answer you, and to keep the thread of a conversation. The assistant forgets a conversation after 24 hours.
Usage recordsWhen you open dewline, which posts you read and how long they were on screen, which searches ran for you, and what each one cost us.
To run the free daily limit, keep costs in check, find faults, and see which parts of dewline help. While your account is open.

We don't ask for, and you shouldn't give us, sensitive details such as health, religion or financial account numbers.

03Where it comes from

  • From you: your account details, your answers, your lead list and everything you do in the app.
  • From the accounts you connect: what dewline reads there for you, such as new LinkedIn messages when you set a helper to watch them, or deal updates from a CRM.
  • From public sources: public LinkedIn posts and profiles, news, Reddit and X threads, job posts and people changing jobs, found by the searches your answers and your lead list create.

04How we use it

  • To build and rank your feed, and to draft messages, comments and replies for you.
  • To act for you when you approve it, or under a rule you set up yourself.
  • To answer your questions in the assistant and the research desk.
  • To sign you in, run the free daily limit, keep costs in check, and keep dewline working and safe.
  • To answer you when you write to us, and to tell you about changes to your account or to these terms.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising. Other dewline readers never see your answers, your leads, your feed or your drafts. The small team that runs dewline can see readers' data, to run and fix it.

05Who helps us run dewline

These companies process data for us, each for its own part of the work:

  • Hosting: runs the app and this website.
  • Database: stores your account, answers, leads and feed.
  • Email delivery: sends your sign-in codes.
  • AI model provider: judges posts against your answers, summarises them, answers your questions and writes drafts (section 6).
  • Public-data services: fetch public posts, profiles, job posts, news, and Reddit and X threads, and look up work details for the research desk. They receive search terms built from your answers, the profile links and companies on your lead list, and your research questions. Some also receive a reference to your dewline account, so usage can be counted.
  • LinkedIn connection partner: runs the secure page where you connect LinkedIn, keeps that connection, and reads and sends there for dewline as section 2 describes.
  • Our own team tools: our cost records, and our team chat, where we see summaries of how dewline is used.

When you act through LinkedIn or another app you connected, that service receives what you send, under its own privacy terms. We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.

Some of these companies process data in other countries, including the United States and Australia.

06AI in dewline

dewline uses an AI model to decide which posts clear your bar, to summarise them, to answer your questions, and to draft what you might say. For each task, the model is sent what that task needs. That can include your name and your answers, the people on your lead list and their posts, messages you received in an app you connected, your edits to earlier drafts, and your questions.

Our AI provider works under business terms that do not allow it to train its models on this text. What it writes is a draft: dewline sends only what you approve, one by one or through a rule you set up.

07If dewline shows you to a reader

This part is for people who are not dewline readers. dewline reads public posts and public profile details:

  • if you post publicly, a post of yours may be shown to a reader it is relevant to, with a link to the original;
  • if a reader put you on their lead list, dewline watches your public LinkedIn posts and job moves for them;
  • if a reader asks dewline's research desk about you or your company, it may look up public work details, such as your role or a work email address. Those look-up results are kept for up to 30 days.

If you would rather dewline did not show or look up your details, or want to know what it holds about you, write to support@get-sidekick.com and we will answer you.

08Cookies and your browser

  • The app uses one cookie to keep you signed in, for up to 30 days, and a short-lived one while you sign in with Google. It also keeps a few small settings in your browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and no outside analytics.
  • This website sets no cookies. It remembers your light or dark choice, and whether you paused motion, in your own browser.
  • Before you have an account, your answers to the first questions are kept in your browser, so a reload doesn't lose them. They move to your account when you sign up and are then cleared from the browser. If you never sign up, dewline stops using them after 72 hours.

09Keeping it safe

Everything travels over encrypted connections, and the keys for the apps you connect are stored encrypted. Access to readers' data is limited to the small team that runs dewline. No system is perfectly secure: if something goes wrong that affects your data, we will tell you.

10How long we keep it

Most of what dewline keeps stays while your account is open. Some working data clears sooner:

  • a conversation with dewline's assistant, after 24 hours;
  • posts waiting to be judged for you, after 7 days;
  • the list of posts already judged for you, after 14 days;
  • a helper's runs and their drafts, after 30 days;
  • your feed keeps your newest 500 posts: the oldest ones you have seen drop off first, and saved posts stay.

When your account is closed, we delete it and the data in it within one month, apart from records the law requires us to keep. Copies in backups can take longer to clear.

11Your choices

  • Change your answers at any time in the app.
  • Turn off any rule or helper you set up.
  • Disconnect LinkedIn or any app you connected.
  • Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or for a correction.
  • Close your account and have your data deleted.
  • Object to how we use your data, or ask us to limit it.

Write to support@get-sidekick.com from the address on your account, and we will answer within one month. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

dewline is for people at work aged 18 or over, and is not meant for children.

12Changes to this notice

When we change this notice, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change matters to how your data is used, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
